Your Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Vegetable Oil Trader to manage trading activities across

Soyabean Oil, Palm Oil, and Palm Oil By-products in the Indian market. The role involves end-to-end

responsibility for trade execution, market intelligence, risk management, and relationship management

with suppliers and customers.

1. Trading & Execution -
  • Execute physical trades in Soyabean Oil and Palm Oil (domestic & import).
  • Handle trading of Palm Oil by-products (PFAD, stearin, etc.).
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, brokers, and customers.
  • Monitor and manage contract execution, including shipment tracking and documentation.
2. Market Intelligence
  • Track global and domestic veg oil markets including CBOT, BMD, and local markets.
  • Analyze price trends, demand-supply dynamics, import/export flows, and policy changes.
3. Risk Management
  • Manage price risk through hedging strategies (futures/options where applicable).
  • Monitor exposure limits, MTM, and P&L.
4. Supply Chain Coordination
  • Work closely with logistics, operations, and refinery teams for smooth execution.
  • Manage vessel planning, and inventory movement.
  • Ensure timely delivery and minimize demurrage and logistics costs.
5. Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
Your Profile:
  • Must have MBA in International Business, Agri-Business, Economics, Finance or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in commodity trading, edible oils, agri-commodities, or related domains.
  • Basic understanding of vegetable oil markets including Soyabean Oil, Palm Oil (crude & refined), and related by-products.
  • Awareness of global and domestic commodity markets, including key price drivers and benchmarks.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • High learning agility, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
