We are seeking a highly motivated NPD Specialist to join our team, focusing on hop-based products. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, fine-tuning, and commercializing innovative hop-based formulations while providing technical customer support and ensuring the highest quality standards. This role is an office based role and will be for 14 months fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and the technical team to deliver tailored product development and technical solutions.
Fine-tune product iterations, maintain detailed records of formulations, and assist in the commercialization and marketing of products.
Manage the Application Hop Portfolio, including conducting analytical and sensory assessments of prototypes and ensuring cost-in-use (CIU) targets are met.
Evaluate hop flavor building blocks in customer briefs, research projects, and portfolio evaluations to meet specific CIU targets.
Develop and compound hop formulas for complex applications across multiple beer styles.
Provide technical support to Customer Service and Marketing teams, addressing customer requests and promoting new product introductions (NPI).
Conduct in-house sensory trials and identify improvements for new and existing brewing projects.
Maintain a stock of hop and natural ingredients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Ensure the laboratory is clean, orderly, and compliant with HACCP protocols and Food Safety Management System standards.
Collaborate with the Operations Department to generate technical and compliance documentation for product trials and scale-ups.
Provide timely project status updates and reporting for internal reviews.
Demonstrate a commercial mindset, focusing on formulation creation, costings, and industrial scalability.
Cultivate strong partnerships with industry contacts to identify and capitalize on future growth opportunities.
Actively contribute to the Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) Program to maximize revenue and technical performance.
Deliver customer and internal support/training as required.

Skills & Abilities:

A qualification in Brewing, Sensory, Food Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
Enthusiastic and hardworking, with a focus on providing exceptional service.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, both internally and externally.
High attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, with confidence to ask questions and ensure job requirements are understood.
Strong IT skills and a desire to find solutions to problems.
Ability to work to instruction and maintain strict confidentiality.
Presentable and professional, with a commercial mindset.
