The Job
The production manager for ADM Tianjin MeM will lead the MeM facility within the Tianjin Bio complex. This union facility includes a production line to produce both hot and cold extruded early stage aqua feed. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the aqua product and extrusion process, demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage priorities across various areas, including safety, quality, environment, production, cost control and people development. The operations manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations while driving long-term initiatives to ensure continued success.
Your Responsibilities
• Safety leadership: strong commitment to leading, supporting, and actively participating in safety activities, build a culture of safety throughout the team
• Operation Management: lead daily operations of MeM facility, including safety and environmental compliance, production efficiency, cost optimization, yield improvement, and sustainability. Ensure manufacturing quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Effective Communication: effectively communicate company policy and customer requirement to the workforce, ensuring alignment across all production processes.
• Performance Management: oversee performance of department employees, providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to promote professional growth.
• Capital Project Management: manage capital projects, ensuring safe, on schedule and within budget projects execution.
• Strategic Vision: develop and implement a long-term strategic vision, focusing on growth, innovation, and competitive positioning within the market.
Your Profile
• Technical Expertise: strong understanding of aqua process especially grinding, mixing, pulverizing, extrusion, spheronizing, drying and the ability to implement process improvements
• Leadership & Motivation: ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team of employees
• Communication Skills: good communication skills, capable of providing clear direction, feedback, and guidance. Ability to translate complex technical information for various audiences.
• Safety-First and Results-driven: strong safety awareness with a focus on safety engagement and culture fostering, results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving goals and optimizing performance.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and factual information.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's (or above) degree in animal nutrition/science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years aqua manufacturing production management experience, preferably fluent in English
