This is a full-time, exempt position.

Overview of Scope:

Analysts at ADM have proven ability to think and work independently. They possess the ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and regularly propose solutions to problems. Analysts are expected to independently manage projects of increasing complexity and have a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes. They must demonstrate a high level of self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas, as applicable. They should be considered an expert in assigned areas and have demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion. Analysts have no direct supervisory responsibilities but do serve as a coach and mentor for those in the Accountant and Clerk roles.

Overview of Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysis
  • Complete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls
  • Work with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial results
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules
  • Perform quarterly analysis and reporting
  • Work independently with little supervisor intervention
  • Engage proactively in the design and implementation of process change
  • Complete duties that may include performing and reporting the results of plant accounting for more complex and material locations and PLs.
  • Assigned responsibilities that require advanced analytic skills and increased partnering with internal customers.
Level of Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
Work Experience and Skills Required:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plus
