(Senior)Customs Specialist EMEA

Location: One of the following locations: Pozna, Hamburg or Amsterdam (hybrid mode - 3 days per week from the office)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Customs Specialist to strengthen our EMEA trade compliance function. This role offers the opportunity to operate in international environment, ensuring regulatory compliance while contributing to continuous process improvement across key European markets.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customs-related matters across the EMEA region

• Serve as a reliable interface between business functions and customs authorities

• Support the Senior Manager of Customs in the execution of strategic and operational initiatives

• Coordinate and support external customs audits, ensuring full compliance and proper documentation

• Deliver structured training sessions to internal stakeholders to enhance customs awareness and compliance standards

• Perform regular reviews and soft audits of customs brokers and outsourced activities to ensure service quality and regulatory adherence

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and optimize customs processes

• Monitor and support compliance with export control regulations

• Provide clear and reliable guidance to internal stakeholders on customs-related topics

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in customs within the EMEA region, with a strong focus on EU regulations

• Demonstrated expertise in trade compliance, including internal controls and external audit support

• In-depth knowledge of origin determination methodologies

• Strong understanding of HS classification, customs valuation, Free Trade Agreements, and special customs procedures

• Proven ability to work effectively within structured, cross-functional and international environments

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented working style

• Professional proficiency in English; additional European languages (e.g., German or French) are beneficial
