AIM Environmental Group, through its Lifecycle Organics division, is seeking a skilled and motivated Sales & Marketing professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine agronomic expertise with sales and business development capabilities to support and grow our customer base in the Alberta marketplace. The role may expand over time to include supporting BC based facilities in their respective market requirements. You will be responsible for generating leads, executing sales agreements, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients, and implementing marketing strategies to increase product value within the agricultural and commercial sectors. You will also leverage your knowledge of soil health and crop productivity to advise clients on how AIM's products can benefit their operations, customer applications, and sustainability goals.
Position Responsibilities
Market Strategy and Business Development
- Act as the customer face of AIM's Lifecycle agronomy practice while attending customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, conferences, and marketing initiatives to build commercial and industry relationships fostering growth in AIM's industry and marketplace credibility.
- Identify and target markets that will deliver high revenue, profit, and/or strategic advantage, by evaluating market entry points, competitive positioning, and key partnerships while creating long term premium customer markets and recognized brand leadership.
- Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns and outreach strategies independently and with key partners to promote brand awareness and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Analyze customer needs, gather feedback, and assess market research to continuously refine AIM's marketing strategies and product development roadmaps to create customer solution sets that drive adoption, long-term relationships, and enhanced competitive positioning.
Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation
- Proactively identify and cultivate business opportunities while expanding relationships with new and existing clients, including farmers, agriculture retailers, consulting partners, commercial landscaping companies, and horticultural businesses.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand AIM's customer base whiling achieving company objectives, revenue targets, and growing AIM's market presence.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, technical documentation, and product presentations to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry regulatory requirements.
- Source biofilter wood media for short and long term Facility Operations as needed, ensuring timely procurement of high-quality materials that meet specific project requirements
- Collaborative with AIM composting facility operation teams to minimize handling and storage of product and enable product to market as soon as available.
Customer Relationship Management
- Travel to customer locations to actively identify new business opportunities, promote products and services, and foster long-term relationships that drive sales growth and business expansion.
- Serve as a trusted agronomic advisor for customers and partners, conducting field trials and product demonstrations, and providing technical insights to customers on product applications and benefits.
- Develop and maintain positive partnerships with agricultural leaders, commercial customers, industry influencers, and organizations to position AIM as a preferred provider of organic sustainable solutions in the marketplace.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in business development, sales, or client relations in the agriculture sector or commercial organics products sectors.
- Bachelors' degree or Diploma in Agribusiness, Agricultural Studies, Business Management or another related program.
- Established professional network and a strong presence within the agricultural community or related organics industries.
- Proven record of achieving sales targets and fostering customer relationships that lead to exceeding financial, marketing, and business growth objectives.
- Ability to travel and work remotely for extended periods of time as required.

- In-depth knowledge of agronomic practices, soil health, and crop productivity with the ability to translate expertise into actionable solutions for customers.

- Ability to engage and build customer relationships while identifying new sales opportunities.
- Ability to lead product demonstrations, field trails, and technical training to effectively showcase AIM's product benefits.
- Ability to effectively negotiate terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements and successfully close sales.
Compensation
- $80,000 base salary (contingent on the maintenance of existing clients)
- Plus, Commission on additional tonnage sales, and
- Additional opportunities to expand sales for other facilities
