Join Our Dynamic Team as a Sales Agronomist!

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of crop production? Look no further! Our independent crop inputs company has been at the forefront of the industry for over 40 years, and we're seeking an exceptional Sales Agronomist to join our passionate team based in the vibrant community of Portage la Prairie, serving Central Manitoba.

Unlike most Crop Input Retailers, we are proud to provide custom aerial application services with our fleet of 9 aircraft.

We are not just about selling crop inputs – we're about partnering with growers to achieve remarkable results. With an extensive selection of top yielding soybean, canola, and corn varieties, along with a diverse range of seed treatments, we're dedicated to providing leading-edge solutions that empower our customers to thrive. From advanced herbicides and vigorous fungicides to effective insecticides, our lineup of crop protection products is designed to unleash the full potential of every field.

As a Sales Agronomist, you'll be the driving force behind our mission to elevate crop production for our customers. Drawing on your technical expertise in agronomy, combined with an unwavering passion for assisting producers, you'll become an indispensable resource for our valued customers. Your commitment to building trust and loyalty will shine through as you deliver expert agronomic advice and solutions, ensuring our growers achieve unparalleled success.

But that's not all! We're not simply a supplier – we're a partner in progress. By leveraging the latest technology and chemistry, we empower our customers with the tools they need to maximize crop enhancement and protection. Our proactive team of Jonair agronomists regularly conducts field scouting throughout the crop growth stages, vigilantly monitoring for weeds, diseases, and insects. You'll be on the front lines, collaborating with growers and providing real-time insights to tackle any challenges that arise during the growing season. Additionally, your expertise will be invaluable in assisting local farmers with future crop rotation planning, setting the stage for sustainable prosperity.  This combined with the ability to provide custom aerial application is a career opportunity you don’t want to miss out on!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propel customer loyalty and trust by delivering exceptional agronomic advice and innovative solutions that add value to our growers' operations.
  • Unleash the potential of our area's seed and crop protection through effective promotion and expansion efforts.
  • Coordinate the seamless application and delivery of our products through customized solutions tailored to our customers' unique needs.
  • Ignite business growth by identifying and prospecting new customers, establishing enduring relationships built on unparalleled service, support, and tailored product offerings.
  • Provide unrivaled expertise, products, and services to both new and existing customers, ensuring their success at every turn.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Canadian Agriculture will serve as a solid foundation for this role.
  • An inherent passion for agriculture and agribusiness, with a deep-rooted interest and aptitude for the industry.
  • Proven success in selling and servicing crop input products, showcasing your ability to deliver tangible results.
  • Outstanding communication skills, coupled with an influential and persuasive approach when engaging and marketing services to customers.
  • A remarkable ability to work autonomously and as an integral part of our dynamic team.
  • Flexibility to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced, extended hours of the busy season (May-July).
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract.
