POSITION TITLE: RETAIL MANAGER
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR – RETAIL SALES
SUPERVISES: LOCATION STAFF
LOCATION: WILKIE SK
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Location Manager will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities. This will include but is not limited ensuring our Customer Experience is always top of mind. Provide leadership with regards to operations of the location, while continuing to develop programs to increase the profitability of the business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will differentiate yourself and the company to increase sales and market share in crop protection products, fertilizer, seed, specialty services (Ultimate Yield Program)
- Manage all aspects of daily operations
- Coordinate ordering of fertilizer, seed, and crop production products in conjunction with The Rack policy
- Oversee logistics, inventory, and account management
- Build client loyalty by providing sound advice and solutions that meet customer needs by maximizing our customer’s efficiency
- Lead retail location team
- Accurate client billing, accurate product costing and all other functions as required in running an independent sales location.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Education – Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Preferred: College graduate with a Major in Agricultural Science or Management.
- Experience – 5 years of experience in a position within the Agricultural field of work, with a diverse portfolio of agricultural experience, primarily in the commercial market.
- Skill, Knowledge & Abilities – Ability to lead and inspire employees, work independently, prioritize responsibilities, supervise, and motivate others. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary. There is a high degree of customer communication and staff coaching involved. Must be able to work closely with the Leadership Team and Administrative support staff. Proficient in the use of computers, including the ability to use Word and Excel.
- People Skills - The Location Manager must possess the people skills necessary to evaluate employees, support other managers when needed, help other employees reach their highest potential for the organization and to help them to achieve their personal goals. Must be able to work closely with the Leadership Team and support staff. Ability to work with a variety of customers, providing them with a remarkable customer experience.
- Technical Skills - The Location Manager must have the ability to understand the financial needs of the organization. Additionally, he/she must understand employee regulations, budgeting and how to manage profits and cash controls in the short and long term. In addition, the Location Manager must understand the Agricultural support industry and be able to work with the customer base to satisfy their ongoing needs.
