Job Title: Barrhead Site Operations - Lead
Reports To: Terry Dietrich, Territory Manager, Barrhead
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) 
BARRHEAD, LEAD (All Business Lines)
  • Be the primary sales desk representative for the Site
  • Dispatch of fleet and personnel in all business lines
  • General support of all other Territory business lines 
  • Assist customers in sourcing proper product and services
  • Participate in Site/Territory wide Safety practices and initiatives including Emergency Response
  • Take an active role as an ERP contact. 
  • Assist Territory Manager in administering all site inventories
  • Administer Site cash accounts, banking transactions, invoicing, and business processes
  • Fleet & Equipment
  • Administer and review maintenance records and Truck Binder info. 
  • Ensure all equipment is in good, safe working order as needed.
  • Perform light maintenance work on equipment 
  • Become a “certified trainer” and train site staff in areas where it is deemed reasonable to do so.
  • Contribute to the logistical operations:
  • Occasional delivery of product and operation of equipment.
  • Loading and unloading of product.
  • Occasional custom application 
  • Occasional vacation relief for operations/delivery staff 
  • Assist in supervision of seasonal staff.
  • Be an after-hours sales and service contact for the site
 
AG INPUTS COORDINATOR (Fertilizer/Seed/Chem/Fuel and Lubricant)
  • Floater Dispatcher
  • Receive Floating and Fertilizer Delivery requests from growers and Team members.
  • Plan and dispatch Floaters, Delivery Trucksand other equipment
  • Coordinate Farm deliveries with growers for Tender trucks and Superbees.
  • Maintain Floating planning board
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, motivating, coaching, developing, evaluating, and retaining logistical staff
  • Ensure that training requirements for all drivers and operators are met and completed on time
  • Oversee orientation of all drivers and operators
  • Maintain training and safety records as per all applicable programs
  • Sales & Operations
  • Support the TSA and TM in sales and execution of sales plans
  • Support the TSA and TM for the territory in a professional manner and contribute to the relationship management of the customer base
  • Ensure the site operates high a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and safety
  • Communicate with customers regarding pricing and logistics for their needs
  • Participate in location sales of products and services offered at the site
  • Deal with any troubleshooting issues as required
  • Conduct required equipment inspections
  • Work to maintain a positive environment for staff and customers
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory bodies including occupational health and safety regulations and the safety of the environment
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of all assets 
  • Ensure inventory positions are adequate and accurate on all product lines

 

FLAMAN COORDINATOR
  • Sales & Operations
  • Be the primary Flaman customer service representative for the Territory in a professional manner and contribute to the relationship management of the customer base
  • Ensure the Flaman business operates high level of customer service, responsiveness, and safety
  • Deal with any troubleshooting issues as required
  • Conduct required equipment inspections
  • Ensure maintenance and upkeep of the location’s assets
  • Direct the logistical operations of the site.
  • Business
  • Be the primary Territory contact for Flaman head office representatives
  • Lead in accurately invoicing customers and in administration of Flaman contracts and payments.
  • Assist other company personnel with investigations and administration
 
OTHER TASKS 
  • Blending Fertilizer 
  • Filling Blend Plant when shipments arrive
  • Unloading and Loading of Crop Production Products
  • Special projects as required
 
STRUCTURE
  • This position, designated as a key support role to multiple lines of business, will periodically attend local Sales & Management meetings when requested
  • Site operations continuity must always be ensured in collaboration with Territory Manager
  • Expectation is that either Territory Manager or Site Operations - Lead (or both) must be on site at all times during operating hours including during spring fertilizer season
  • Yard vehicles will be available for any off-site work requirements.
  • Hourly wage, and other compensation TBD based on candidate and experience
  • Regular business hours outside spring and Fall
  • Overtime required in the Spring and Fall months
