Job Description:
AgCall Inc. has an exciting opportunity for crop protection sales professionals increasing awareness of unique technology for a client in select geographies of the U.S. These contract sales positions are based on seasonal work.
 
In this position, Associates will be responsible for creating awareness for the client’s product, by working closely with Ag Retailers and network professionals as they introduce the products within their territory.
 
Geography & Focus Crops
One Associate to cover each of the following states:
  • Northern IL, Southern IL/East MO, Southern IN utilizing I-70 split south of Indianapolis; Sioux Fall,SD/MN; Eastern KS
 
Timeline:  Feb 2024, through June 17, 2024
  • Winter-Spring: Feb-June- Approx 30-40 hrs. a week for the first 4-6 weeks
  • Approx 15 hrs. a week after 
 
Requirements
  • Must be available for day travel to meet with prospective retailer customers, set appointments, and meet with retailers across the project timeframe.
  • Previous experience selling crop protection products to retailers is a must.
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold calling, not discouraged by rejection.
  • Able to work independently within the territory, adherence to the sales goals, with minimal client supervision.
  • A desire to help customers develop strategies to improve their operations and practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping and communication skills.
  • Provide own vehicle, computer, cell phone with voicemail, and fax or scanner.
  • May be active/semi-retired or retired retailers, manufacturer/distributor sales reps, agronomists, or other ag professionals; must be comfortable meeting with retailers and going through the sales process.
  • Having past and present relationships in agricultural sales, for geography covered, is desirable.
  • Experience in product development and go to market strategies.
 
Responsibilities
  • Extend reach & engagement for territory support and Retail network development.  Through Retail in-person sales support, raise awareness of Vive’s portfolio of products including Bifender, AZterknot, AZteroid, Averland.  Deliver value proposition & create demand via focused Retail engagement, education, and support.
  • Close contact, communication, and take direction from their assigned company representative.
  • Contact and visit targeted retailers in your assigned area with the objective of building awareness and sales of this new biological product.
  • Enter all relevant customer and sales data into electronic tracking format in a timely manner, as directed.
  • Detail retailers on this unique products, including the agronomics, appropriate programs, etc.
  • Gather retailer data related to their use of similar products in the marketplace and satisfaction of current products, programs, or systems. 
  • Support client with selling and awareness building activities related to the product offering.
  • Build retailer relationships and network on behalf of the client.
 
Training
Associates will report functionally and administratively to AgCall.  Associates will receive comprehensive training on the products, the sales and marketing strategy that has been set forth for the brand, and the data collection and submission procedures that are required for payment. Training will be held via webinar. We provide a competitive wage with bonus structure for all projects. Associates earn an hourly base rate, bonuses, mileage, and expense reimbursement.
