Careers at Colby Community College

Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 1,900 students annually. In addition to a 57-acre main campus, a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The college also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses. A number of studies conclude CCC is a solid educational investment. Colby has a strong history of student performance and ranks near the top for graduation and retention rates among all Kansas community colleges.

With new agricultural and veterinary nursing facilities, recent upgrades to the college farm, renovated student housing, new athletics training facilities, and excellent academic outcomes by our students, it's a great time to be a Trojan!

     

    CCC offers a variety of one and two-year degree and transfer programs, both on-campus and online. In the Agricultural Division, students can earn an online Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Veterinary Nursing along with several online certificates.

     

    Colby is located in the northwest corner of Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Colorado and Nebraska borders. In addition to a main campus of approximately 60 acres, CCC operates a 60-acre farm for students to use as a hands-on laboratory and training facility.

     

    Agriculture students learn in the new Lon R. Frahm Agricultural Center and the recently renovated Stanley Carr Agricultural Center for veterinary nursing. A pioneer in outreach education, CCC accommodates hundreds of off-campus students by offering classes in the 14-county service area and around the globe through ColbyConnect.

     

    As a member of NJCAA Division I athletics, CCC offers a range of varsity sports, including basketball, wrestling, volleyball, track, cross country, softball, baseball and rodeo. The college has highly successful livestock judging and equestrian teams. Beyond athletics, students at CCC enjoy a variety of activities, intramural sports, and several clubs and organizations, such as the Collegiate Farm Bureau and the Student Veterinary Nursing Association. The college also features a fitness center, a gymnasium, and indoor pickleball and tennis courts for student and public use.
