Job Description

AFI is a privately owned company based in northern Iowa with sales worldwide as a leading supplier of specialty feed additives for the animal feed industry.

Our specialty feed additive business is dedicated to the promotion of all natural products that contribute to improving animal gut health, nutrition and performance.

AFI is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow our Dairy Sales team.  In this role you will have a vast amount of freedom to develop and manage sales to large dairy farms, calf operations, feed mills and feed companies in the area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to increase sales and market share within the region.
• Support and grow the dairy sector sales of specialty all natural products by actively calling on large dairy farms, calf ranches, feed mills and feed companies to achieve budget objectives.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of dairy operations needs to align product offerings.
• Attend local tradeshows and nutrition conferences to network with key contacts.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelors Degree in a related agriculture field is strongly desired.
• 3+ years dairy industry experience.
• Strong communication skills.  Fluent in English.  Spanish is strongly desired, but not required.
• Quick learner with the ability to optimize planning, scheduling and time efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills.
• Team player who is flexible and adaptable.
