Job Description:
Established in 2001, Advantage Farm Equipment is a trusted agricultural and construction equipment dealership dedicated to providing quality machinery, exceptional service, and long-term value to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department at our Essex, ON location.
 
Job Description:
  • Manage service work flow 
  • Coordinate with parts and sales departments for seamless workflow
  • Assign jobs and work areas to service technicians according to their skill and knowledge 
  • Schedule both machine repairs and preventative maintenance for technicians 
  • Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials and labor, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer 
  • Prepare accurate quotes for customer work orders; Open and structure work orders, check for service letters, where applicable and warranty status, verify customer pay arrangements. 
  • Review work orders for invoicing/uploading and ensure credits and parts have been processed and submitted. Closing work orders daily as work is completed.
  • Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems and respond promptly 
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through clear communication and problem resolution
  • Monitor service revenue and expenses monthly; shop absorption rates. 
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
  • Maintain high performance service team through training, coaching, mentoring and   performance management in a safe environment 
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

 

Expierience and Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral communication and written skills 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven experience in a service management role, preferably in agricultural or construction equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of farm and construction equipment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Valid drivers license
