WINTERSTEIGER supplies the technology needed to do this, and its products in this area cover the entire cycle of field research from the sowing to the harvesting. The product range includes: plot combines, plot increase combines, stationary threshers, plot forage harvesters, plot seeders, software solutions for data collection and evaluation, fertilization and crop protection equipment, laboratory equipment.


The position located in Saskatoon, services equipment in Saskatoon as well as in other parts of SK, AB, and MB with most of the yearly service work completed in our Saskatoon shop.  Travel into the United Sates for training or service work may be required.



Diagnose, service, and repair of small plot combines and planters. The primary role will be preventive maintenance work on plot combines. Duties include trouble shooting and repair this may range from oil changes, running machine, diagnosing bearing and component conditions & failures, changing belts, aligning conveyers, servicing and basic repair on engines and electrical systems, diagnosing hydraulic component problems, software updates, looking up parts, documenting work done and completing paper work in a clear, timely manner.


This position has a flexible travel component (approximately 12 – 16 weeks per year) to 5 main areas in Western Canada. Travel typically is one week at a time with shop time in between the next travel schedule. While in training you will travel and work alongside an experienced technician, but will travel together or independently when trained. 



  • Valid driver’s license is a requirement of employment
  • Good customer service and communication skills are necessary, able to work in team environment
  • Must work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency at processing paperwork

  • Travel, servicing machines at customer location
  • Must have tools
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
