Seed Sales & Warehouse Manager
SilverEdge Cooperative is seeking a motivated Seed Sales & Warehouse Manager to lead and grow our seed department while overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, seed treatment, and customer service. This position plays a key role in ensuring seed products are available, accurately inventoried, professionally handled, and delivered on time while supporting profitable seed sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall seed business, including inventory planning, preseason bookings, product availability, product billing, and supplier relationships.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring a clean, organized, safe, and efficient facility.
- Maintain accurate seed inventory, perform cycle counts, and coordinate year-end physical inventories.
- Manage seed treatment operations, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and recordkeeping.
- Coordinate seed deliveries, routing, and logistics to ensure excellent customer service.
- Support Agronomy Sales Specialists with product availability, customer events, plots, and sales initiatives.
- Maintain warehouse equipment, seed tenders, forklifts, delivery vehicles, and facilities.
- Monitor performance metrics, complete required reporting, and assist with budgeting and inventory reconciliation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; agriculture-related degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in agronomy, seed, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL, Commercial Seed Treater License, and forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, inventory management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AgVision experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Work indoors and outdoors, including extended seasonal hours.
