Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, this temporary full-time position will be a 16-month term starting May 2021. This employment opportunity is part of Nutrien’s Aboriginal Internship Program and is intended to introduce a voluntary self-identified Aboriginal student or recent graduate to professional work experiences at Nutrien.
What you will do:
    Electrical and instrumentation field checksAssist in the development of mine management monitoringAssist in the implementation of the "Workplace Electrical Safety Equipment Guidance Document" including planning and preventative maintenanceGenerate Engineering documents such a datasheets and drawingsLow and High voltage power distribution drawing and data managementArc Flash data collection, entry into ETAP and equipment labelingAssist maintenance planners with Mine dutiesContribute to the safety culture at Cory Potash by demonstrating active safety leadership
What you will bring:
    A minimum of 2 years completed post-secondary in a related disciplineSuperior interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skillsWell-developed communication skills, both written and verbalAdvanced computer skillsExperience in an industrial setting would be an asset
