Happy Holidays from AgCareers.com

From the AgCareers.com team, we wish you all a very happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year! As we look back at 2010, AgCareers.com has many things to be grateful for and we look forward to all that is to come in 2011.

In 2010, our website has experienced enhancements to make the site more user-friendly for both our employer clients as well as jobseekers. We look forward to more of these in 2011! Early in 2010, we released the 2009 Agribusiness Job Outlook which reviewed the agricultural job market in 2009 so we could prepare for 2010. Through our partnership with AgrowKnowledge, we brought you the US Enrollment and Employment Outlook that reviewed the image of the job market in agriculture as perceived by recent graduates, and illustrated our predictions for that market in the future. Also, as part our partnership with AgrowKnowledge, we launched the Skill and Trade e-newsletter targeted specifically to jobseekers who have specialized skills that they can bring to the workplace. In August, we hosted our 8th Annual Ag HR Roundtable, attended by more than 155 human resources and university career services professionals. In September, we published our 4th annual Agribusiness Employer Guide in the US and our 3rd annual edition for Canada. To finish out 2010, we released an impressive report of jobseeker feedback for employers in our Insights on Recruitment in Agriculture: 2010 Job Seeker Survey Report.

Additionally in 2010, we observed a steady increase in the amount of job postings and applicants using our site – more on that to come in the 2010 Agribusiness Job Outlook! We hosted a variety of educational events in addition to our annual Roundtable, including a variety of online webinars and face-to-face workshops. We employed five Collegiate Ambassadors across the nation, and attended numerous career fairs and trade show events where we built relationships with many of you! OurCompensation Benchmark Review and Agribusiness HR Report have continued to grow with the addition of more participating companies. As mentioned earlier – we have so much for which to be grateful. But most of all, we’re grateful for your support. Whether you’re an avid weekly newsletter reader, a jobseeker, and employer, college or university professional, or industry friend….We thank you for your support and look forward to serving you in 2011!
