The Screening & Compound Profiling Group is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to join our Quantitative Biosciences Department at our Research Laboratories in Kenilworth, NJ. Focus will be on using cell-based physiological relevant cellular assays previously optimized for high-throughput automated platforms. These will already already have demonstrated value in a drug or drug target discovery effort using high-content imaging endpoints assays. Disease models would not be limited to a particular disease area and include neuroscience, oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease.
We will use unbiased profiling methods such as Cell-Painting (Image-based phenotypic profiling) and Drug-Seq (high-throughput, multiplexed RNA-Seq) to develop phenotypic and transcriptome profiles of these disease models, with the goal of demonstrating utility of as a primary screening method to identify hits from a perturbagen library (small molecule or CRISPR) and compare to earlier screening results from focused endpoints.
The ideal candidate should have experience with cell-based phenotypic assays and have a good understanding of image and data analysis methods using machine approaches. You should also have knowledge of RNA-Seq sample preparation and data analysis. Key Functions

Experience with high-content phenotypic screening and analysis.
Experience with RNA-Seq sample preparation and analysis.
An interest in using high-throughput disease relevant cell models (3D, iPSC, co-culture systems) on automated assay platforms.
Solid understanding of data analysis workflows and statistical principles as well as AI/ML used in screening.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in complex image and data analysis methods.
Collaborate in an integrated, multidisciplinary team environment.
Minimum education required: • PhD Degree or will you have completed your PhD within the next year in Life Sciences and could be cell biology, molecular biology, genomics, pharmacology, biochemistry.
Required experience and skills:
High-Content screening using multi-well plates om automated systems.
Extensive experience using image analysis software to analyze high-throughput imaging assays.
Working knowledge of assay automation for high-throughput screening
Experience with data analysis of high-content phenotypic assays, preferably using machine learning.

Post Doc:
Under New York City, Washington State and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$75,000.00-$86,000.00
