- Strong leadership and employee development skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Experience with milking systems, parlor operations, and milk quality management
- Knowledge of herd health, reproduction, and dairy production practices
- Experience with dairy management software and computerized recordkeeping systems
- Spanish-speaking ability preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a management team


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation in Maryland who is seeking an ambitious and motivated Assistant Dairy Manager. This position will work closely with ownership and department managers to help oversee daily dairy operations, coordinate employee activities, and support the continued growth of the operation.

Responsibilities include assisting with parlor management, milk quality, employee supervision and training, protocol implementation, inventory management, maintenance coordination, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Dairy Manager will help coordinate activities across the herd, maternity, youngstock, feeding, and crop production departments, using dairy management software and production data to support operational decisions.
