The Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) has named Theodore Rieckhoff as its new director of market development and commodities, with his appointment taking effect on July 1.
In this position, Rieckhoff will work to strengthen market opportunities and advance the interests of Missouri’s farming and ranching community.
Before joining MOFB, Rieckhoff served in the Missouri Senate and later worked with Bartlett, partnering with agricultural producers throughout the Midwest and the Carolinas on sustainability initiatives and specialty crop programs.
“Theodore brings a unique combination of firsthand farming experience, agricultural policy knowledge and a passion for serving Missouri agriculture,” said MOFB President Garrett Hawkins.
“His background in agribusiness, legislative affairs and production agriculture will serve our members well as he works to strengthen markets and identify opportunities for Missouri farmers and ranchers.”
A graduate of Missouri State University, Rieckhoff previously completed internships with MOFB and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. He and his wife, Makenna, along with their son, Henry, operate their family livestock farm near Sweet Springs.
