Media ArticleThe Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Education Foundation has awarded a record amount in scholarships, providing $980,750 to 634 Kentucky high school seniors. The awards were made through a partnership between the state organization and county Farm Bureaus across Kentucky.
Since the scholarship program began in 1953, the foundation has awarded more than $4.8 million to support students pursuing higher education. The program reflects KFB’s continued commitment to educational and career opportunities for young people.
Scholarships are available to students attending Kentucky colleges, universities, community colleges, and proprietary schools. Many recipients are pursuing degrees in agriculture, animal health, veterinary technology, and other related fields.
The program also supports students from farm families, helping them access post-secondary education and prepare for future careers. In addition to statewide awards, 113 county Farm Bureaus provided scholarships to students in their local communities.
By expanding access to higher education, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation continues to support student success and workforce development across the state. The record scholarship total highlights the organization’s ongoing investment in Kentucky’s future leaders.
Through its scholarship initiatives, KFB helps strengthen rural communities while creating opportunities for students to achieve their educational and professional goals.
