Media ArticleThe Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF) has awarded scholarships to several Kansas students pursuing degrees in agriculture and livestock-related fields. The awards recognize academic achievement and support students preparing for careers in the agricultural industry.
Two Kansas State University students received the GoBob America’s Ranch Equipment $1,000 Scholarships. Recipients include Michaela Wasson of Dresden and Derek Wurtz of Seneca, both of whom will be sophomores at K-State.
Funding for these scholarships was generated through the auction of a GoBob hay feeder at the 2025 Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) Convention & Expo. The company supplies a variety of farm and ranch equipment used by agricultural producers.
KLF also awarded Hampel Oil/Mobil Delvac $1,000 Scholarships to Braxon Blackwood of Sublette and Jaiden Pfannenstiel of Hays. Blackwood attends Kansas State University, while Pfannenstiel is a student at Fort Hays State University.
These scholarships were made possible through a donation from Hampel Oil, a family-owned business with multiple locations across Kansas. The company continues to support educational opportunities for students involved in agriculture.
In addition, Jenna Gengler of Beloit received the Grass & Grain $1,500 Scholarship. She is a junior at Kansas State University and is pursuing her educational goals in agriculture.
Funding for the award came from the auction of an advertising package at the 2025 KLA Convention & Expo. Grass & Grain is a long-standing agricultural publication serving readers throughout the Midwest.
Through these scholarship programs, the Kansas Livestock Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders and livestock industry professionals.
