Job Title: Farms Engagement Manager: Agri-Tech JN231
Location: GB, Northern Europe, Europe

Company: De Lacy Executive
Industry Sector: Agribusiness
Industry Type: Horticulture, Turf, Viticulture and Ornamental
Career Type: Farm & Ranch Operations/Herdsperson/On Farm
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Competitive
Job Description:

This role is about running a national network of real farms where new agri-tech is tested, demonstrated and proven in commercial conditions.

You’ll be the person who keeps those farms aligned, organised and useful ensuring technologies are trialled properly, lessons are shared, and innovation is shown working in the real world, not just in theory.

This is not a desk-based strategy role. It’s operational, outward-facing and relationship-led.

You'll work directly with farmers, agri-tech businesses and programme teams to make sure on-farm activity actually delivers value.

This is not a policy role, nor a pure research or desk-based coordination post.

This is a hands-on, operational and relationship-driven role focused on running the farm network, not designing overarching adoption strategy.

 Key responsibilities:

Coordinating a UK-wide network of commercial demonstration farms, keeping activity consistent and purposeful across different regions and systems

Matching the right farms to the right technologies, so trials are credible, repeatable and scalable

Organising and running on-farm demonstrations and showcase events that show technology working in practice

Building strong, practical relationships with forward-thinking host farmers, agri-tech ventures and industry partners

Expanding the demonstration farm network by identifying commercially progressive farms willing to trial and showcase innovation

Acting as the “glue” between farmers, engagement teams, programme leads and external stakeholders

Supporting the development of credible host-farm champions who influence adoption beyond their own business

Making sure on-farm activity feeds into commercialisation, case studies and impact reporting, rather than sitting in isolation

Your profile:

You don’t need to tick every box, but you do need to understand how commercial farms operate and how innovation is tested in the real world.

Strong understanding of UK commercial farming systems

Experience coordinating multi-site farm activity, demonstration farms or trials

Confident relationship-builder with farmers, agri-tech businesses and rural stakeholders

Organised, practical and comfortable managing national activity without heavy supervision

Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences

Comfortable capturing learning, outcomes and evidence from on-farm work

Happy to travel as part of the role

What you can expect:

 Highly competitive salary and package
