Job Description
 

The CLAAS North American Trainee Program is a 12-24-month professional development plan within our NA IT Department. Participants will combine practical work experience with specialized development opportunities in North America.  

 

The Network & Systems Support Specialist Trainee installs, modifies, and makes repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, provides technical assistance and training to system users, and analyzes, troubleshoots, and evaluates regional application and network problems. The position coordinates and consults with a wide variety of other IT resources to resolve user problems to meet special needs; provides direction, support, and training to end users to support their software, networks, and hardware and mobile devices.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Supports Information Technology needs across the North America business entities, including deployment of new sites/locations, computers, mobile devices, and training.
  • Coordinates with CLAAS Global IT resources to resolve local and regional problems.
  • Completes inbound and outbound logistics of computing equipment.
  • Supports asset management solutions.
  • Supports standardization across all North America sites (client, network, servers, and software). Upholds Security and Confidentiality procedures.
  • Provides Direct and professional interaction with end users and outside customers (in person, by phone, or by email).
  • Provides advanced IT Network troubleshooting within the Region and escalate (Network) related technical issues and user complaints in a timely and effective manner to Product Owner.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards. 
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location. 

 

Travel & Transportation: Up to 20% periodic travel to other North American locations may be required based on business needs, including travel by vehicle and/or air. Limited international travel may also be required. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a verifiably safe driving record, a valid passport, as well as access to a reliable vehicle suitable for business travel.

Your profile:

 

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field, highly preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Good knowledge of standard desktop and laptop systems 
  • Good working knowledge of WANs \ LANs (WIFI, TCP/IP, Switching / Firewalls and Routing) as well as MFA and SSO technologies.
  • Basic working knowledge of backup procedures.
  • Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and Microsoft servers.
  • Creative and systematic technical problem-solving skills.
  • Highly service-oriented mindset and internal customer orientation.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
