Seed Process Engineer Co-op 

 

We are seeking a motivated Seeds Process Engineer Co-Op. The ideal location for this position will be

based in Chesterfield, MO, but other Midwest locations could be considered based on the candidate and

circumstances. This position reports to our Seeds Process Group Lead.

 

As a Seeds Process Engineering Co-op, you will assist in providing complete process engineering

designs for new projects to support Seeds Supply operations and Seeds Breeding / Technology. The

successful candidate will provide support to multiple sites and multiple projects concurrently, sharing

ownership for successful project outcomes with standard deliverables defined and documented

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

  • Front-end definition of seed processing intensive projects, covering functional specifications,

    process flow, definition of capacity parameters, equipment layouts, process and control

    descriptions, information in support of environmental permits, building layouts, plot plans, periodic

    reviews and startup support.

  • In addition, this role may provide support to plant operations through identification and evaluation

    of process improvements, leverage areas and ideas, troubleshooting support for process issues,

    and identification of future projects.

  • This co-op will take place in the spring or fall of 2024.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or

    Ag Mechanization or related engineering program.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale;

  • Agricultural background;
  • Experience with seed production and processes.
