Global Sr Project Manager 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

* This position can reside in Creve Coeur, Missouri or Oxnard California.*

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Global Senior Project Manager, are to: 

 

  • Support team lead in guiding project staff in a global, matrix environment;
  • Align with team lead on assignments and bring forward project risks requiring mitigation and support;
  • Identify PM capacity constraints early;
  • Employ professional project management practices and processes;
  • Use established PM software (e.g. MS Project, Planview);
  • Develop, manage and control an integrated project management plan, including schedule, budget, resources, risk management, scope management, change management, etc., for assigned global strategic projects, from initiation through closure, alerting sponsorship early of any potential derailers to facilitate mitigation/appropriate decisions;
  • Manage monthly updates to LTs on all global projects, ensuring Steering Committee, Sponsors and key stakeholders are alerted and informed of project progress, status and barriers to success;
  • Serve as Planview and VS PS PMO Training Administrator to assist with all PMO functional activities (e.g. mentoring, templates, tool dev, etc.);
  • Ensure the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion are documented in project plan and tracked post implementation to inform LT if projects achieve intended goals;
  • Lead best practice identification and sharing across the regions.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant/project management experience or Master of Science degree with at least eight years of relevant/project management experience;
  • Experience with project management software (e.g. Planview, Microsoft Project);
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management;
  • Strong strategic mindset, ability to manage through ambiguity and drive vision and purpose;
  • Strong collaboration as well as organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Supply chain or manufacturing experience;
  • Professional project management certification.
