Warehouse Building Maintenance - Decatur, IL

This is a full time, hourly position.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: Based on experience, range of $26-30/hour

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overall building maintenance and upkeep of three warehouse facilities. Employee is responsible for maintaining the facilities systems and warehouse handling equipment. Employee will need a valid Driver's License to travel between the three warehouse facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine, comprehensive, and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Inspect warehouse handling equipment and racking systems
  • Maintain forklift fleet
  • Troubleshoot problems related to malfunctioning equipment
  • Perform millwright duties
  • Enhanced rigging duties
  • Respond in a timely manner to service requests by fellow colleagues
  • Ability to read spec sheets and blue prints
  • Ensure accuracy of maintenance records
  • Assist with snow removal as needed. A flexible schedule is needed during uncontrollable weather events.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items (50 lbs. unassisted), bend, kneel, stand, climb and work at elevated heights
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely
  • Assist warehouse staff for the purpose of maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment
Job Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Enhanced millwright and mechanical skills
  • Actively participate in all ADM required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs
  • Promote the ADM Way and core Values
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Understand written procedures and write routine documents
  • Strong reading skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Mechanical diagnostic abilities
  • Millwright certification or extensive experience preferred
  • HVAC certification is preferred
  • Electrical systems knowledge is preferred
