The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical support to customers, particularly within the aquaculture industry. The Territory Manager also ensures effective coordination between customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to achieve sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in terms of volume, revenue, and margin.
Develop and implement territory sales plans to expand market coverage and customer base.
Identify and acquire new accounts while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Conduct regular market visits to identify opportunities, monitor competition, and gather market intelligence.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with farm owners, dealers, and key stakeholders.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations tailored to customer requirements.
Handle customer concerns, complaints, and after-sales support in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Operations and Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, technical, finance) to ensure product availability and service delivery.
Support product trials, technical demonstrations, and field activities.
Assist in forecasting and demand planning for the assigned territory.
Manage pricing, credit terms, and collections in coordination with the finance team.
Marketing and Reporting
Execute marketing activities such as farm visits, seminars, product demonstrations, and events.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and customer updates.
Monitor territory performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
Qualifications and Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Animal Science, or a related field.
Experience in the aquaculture industry is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of aqua feeds, farm operations, and industry practices is an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Highly organized with good planning and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when required.
