The Job

The Starch Supply Operations Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end starch supply process at the Tianjin plant, including raw material receiving, warehousing, and feeding operations. The role ensures safe and timely starch delivery to support continuous production and effective contract execution. It oversees both on-site and third-party warehouses, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces FIFO and safety standards, and coordinates closely with production, procurement, and suppliers. The role also leads continuous improvement initiatives and ensures proper documentation and traceability. At the same time, the position need to supervise the warehouse team at the Tianjin Plant.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of starch warehouses both on-site and at third-party locations, ensuring compliance with storage and handling procedures.

• Closely monitor daily production plans and raw material needs; formulate the starch delivery schedules among the contracted vendors to support uninterrupted production and secure the smooth exectuion of confirmed purchase contracts.

• Organize the receipt of raw starch materials; arrange unloading personnel and verify that the quantity, specification, and type of goods match the delivery documents.

• Reconcile starch receipts with vendors and initiate payment requests in coordination with the procurement and finance teams.

• Manage the warehouse staff team (ADM FTEs and contractors ), including task assignment, performance monitoring, and daily supervision.

• Supervise warehouse staff in conducting incoming inspections. Ensure product quality meets acceptance standards; reject or return non-conforming goods as necessary.

• Ensure timely and accurate inventory registration upon starch receipt; maintain consistency between physical inventory and system records.

• Plan warehouse space and stacking methods efficiently; maintain clear labeling and a clean layout. Ensure strict compliance with FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practices.

• Manage daily starch feeding data collection and reporting. Lead regular stock counts (daily and monthly) to ensure inventory accuracy.

• Supervise warehouse safety and hygiene practices, ensuring alignment with company safety and 5S standards.

• Closely monitor daily production plans and raw material needs; flexibly adjust delivery schedules to support uninterrupted production.

• Track the execution of starch supply contracts, ensuring validity and coordinating related delivery plans.

• Lead continuous improvement projects related to starch warehousing and supply operations; identify opportunities and implement practical solutions.

• Participate in starch-related project coordination and implementation, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration (with production, procurement, warehousing, etc.).

• Implement quality control measures throughout the starch supply process. Collaborate with relevant departments on issue resolution and traceability to ensure quality compliance in receiving, storage, and usage.

• Manage stamping, filing, and internal handling of starch supply-related documents such as orders and contracts; coordinate with suppliers prior to delivery to ensure clear alignment.

• Coordinate logistics activities related to starch supply, including temporary warehouse management, pickup scheduling and receiving, and futures-based delivery and receiving.

• Report to Senior Supply Chain Manger, Carbohydrate Solutions China

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or above, studies in logistics, supply chain, or business/management, etc.

• Minimum of 8-year professional experience in logistics, supply chain in agricultural processing, commodity, or food industry.

• High ethical standards and integrity.

• Good knowledge of transportation operation, and logistics management.

• Excellent ability in supplier negotiation, development, and management.

• Proficient in handling MS-Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).

• Good interpersonal and communication.

• Strong business acumen, value mind set and result oriented.

• Feel comfortable in a dynamic, international environment and open to change.

• Proactive, committed, and a team player.

• Cost consciousness and ownership thinking.

• Good command of oral and written English.
