The Role

The Japan Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs (QM & RA) team is responsible for ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of ADM products distributed in the Japan and Korea markets. The team works closely with customers and a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Sales, R&D, Supply Chain Management, manufacturing sites, and Global QA/RA teams. This role contributes to enabling the company to conduct business with confidence, support sustainable business growth, and build strong customer trust through quality and regulatory excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct regulatory reviews and compliance assessments for food, food additives, and feed products in Japan and Korea.
  • Respond accurately and in a timely manner to customer inquiries related to quality and regulatory matters, as well as audit requests and documentation submissions.
  • Prepare, review, and manage regulatory and quality-related documentation.
  • Continuously monitor regulatory amendments and industry trends, and provide relevant updates and risk communication to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits of co-manufacturers.
  • Support investigations, corrective actions, and preventive measures in response to quality issues, customer complaints, and nonconformities.
  • Support the standardization, efficiency improvement, and digitalization of business processes to enhance both company-wide and team-level excellence and productivity. Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborative team player with an exemplary work ethic and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English. (Nice to have)
  • 1+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs in the food industry.
  • Degree in a science-related field.
  • Positive, 'can-do' attitude with an open minded approach.
