What You Will Do
You will lead the commercial consumer organization for the EMEA region, owning both strategy and omni-channel execution, with full responsibility for brand growth, modern retail/e-commerce account performance, and team leadership.
Regional Growth Strategy: Define and drive the EMEA B2C sales strategy in line with global brand priorities, accelerating market penetration across both digital and physical footprints.
Commercial Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a multi-layer sales organization, including dedicated E-Commerce, Key Account, and Field Sales teams, ensuring strong performance and brand compliance.
P&L Management: Own regional revenue growth, margin performance, trade spend optimization, and commercial profitability (P&L) targets.
Digital Commerce Execution: Direct the regional digital shelf strategy, maximizing market share, conversion, and visibility on key e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, local pure-players, and D2C channels).
Omnichannel Partnerships: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major European retailers, pan-regional grocery chains, buying groups, and specialist pet distributors.
Business Planning: Develop and execute multi-year business plans (3-5 years), incorporating demand forecasting, promotional budgeting, and digital traffic growth scenarios.
Market Insight Translation: Monitor consumer purchasing behavior, digital performance data, competitor movements, and retail trends to continuously optimize the regional go-to-market strategy.
Data-Driven Performance: Ensure disciplined sales pipeline management and commercial tracking using advanced CRM, digital shelf analytics, and retail analytics tools.
Strategic Negotiations: Lead high-stakes annual commercial negotiations, joint business planning (JBP) sessions with major accounts, and distributor agreements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive active alignment with Marketing, Technical R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations to guarantee outstanding commercial execution and inventory availability.
What You Bring
We are seeking a high-caliber commercial leader who fuses strategic B2C vision with definitive operational execution and digital marketplace expertise.
Essential Qualifications
Experience: 10-15+ years of commercial leadership, sales, or business development experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer health, or premium pet care sectors.
Regional Scope: Proven success leading regional or multi-country commercial organizations within the complex EMEA retail landscape.
E-Commerce Track Record: Demonstrated success managing major e-commerce platforms, specifically driving volume and profitability on Amazon, utilizing retail media networks and digital execution frameworks.
Financial Acumen: Robust financial expertise, with a proven track record of full P&L ownership, margin improvement, and trade investment optimization.
Talent Development: Ability to scale and coach high-performing, cross-border commercial teams across diverse functional fields (digital, key accounts, and distributor networks).
Data Literacy: Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate market, consumer panel, and web analytics data into actionable sales strategies.
Language Proficiency: Fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in additional European languages (e.g. French, German) is a distinct commercial advantage. Arabic is a plus for expansion into Middle-East countries, not a must have.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Focus: Direct commercial experience within the premium pet food, pet specialty, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) markets.
Hybrid Go-To-Market: Deep exposure to both direct-to-retail distribution and multi-tier distributor-led commercial models.
Entrepreneurship & Out of the box thinking: Previous experience in setting up businesses and driving turnaround.
