Title: Quality Control Manager - Animal Nutrition FAI

At ADM, we work to ensure the safety, consistency, and reliability of ingredients used in animal nutrition. This role sits at the center of laboratory control, product release, and cross-functional quality decisions that directly support production and customer supply.

You will report to the Quality & Food Safety Director EMEA and be based in Rolle. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure analytical results are reliable, traceable, and actionable.

Role

We will rely on you to lead and coordinate quality control laboratory activities, ensure product conformity, and support decision-making through robust analytical data.

You will also play a key role in maintaining compliance, managing non-conformities, and supporting continuous improvement across QC systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Analytical and Laboratory Work

You will:
  • Perform chemical and physical analyses (HPLC, UPLC, GC, FT-IR, pH, humidity, etc.) to verify product conformity
  • Manage and store samples, ensuring full traceability and integrity
  • Conduct stability, homogeneity, shelf-life, and cross-contamination testing
  • Perform homologation of new ingredients and execute yearly control plans
  • Maintain laboratory instruments, including calibration, cleaning, and proper waste management
  • Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety rules
Quality Control and Documentation

You will:
  • Record, review, and communicate analytical results and prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
  • Monitor internal and external laboratory results and ensure timely follow-up
  • Manage product status in ERP systems (release or block decisions based on results)
  • Investigate non-conformities and define corrective actions with the Product Quality Manager
  • Participate in internal and inter-site audits
  • Ensure full traceability of analyses, samples, and decisions
  • Plan and follow up on homogeneity and cross-contamination testing programs
Cross-functional Collaboration

You will:
  • Share QC results and product status with Operations, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Sales
  • Work closely with co-manufacturers on sampling, production, and quality issues
  • Support integration activities for new businesses and teams within Animal Nutrition EMEA
Continuous Improvement and Safety

You will:
  • Propose and implement improvements in analytical methods and laboratory organization
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Contribute to ADM quality and food safety initiatives, reviews, and global QFS activities
Profile
  • We are looking for someone who combines strong laboratory expertise with decision-making and structured execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Feed Science, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Food, Feed, or Pharma industry; laboratory experience is essential
  • Knowledge of FSMA and food safety plans
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GMP+, FSSC 22000, RCNA, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Highly organized, decisive, and results-oriented
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (including overnight travel)
  • Fluent in English and French
