Your Responsibilities

•To be available to supervise staff on any shift required including weekends

•To drive and maintain high standards of H&S ensuring all staff are aware of their responsibility to keep themselves and others around them safe.

•To be responsible for the deployment and supervision of production operatives, ensuring optimal production performance.

•To report to and have daily briefings with the Production Manager and / or Operations or Site Manager.

•To provide support and cover for duties performed by the Assistant Production Manager

•To ensure the efficient and safe working of operations within the production area including preparation, manufacturing, packing and cleaning.

•To ensure that all relevant food safety & quality checks (including CCP checks) are carried out in accordance with site procedures.

•To ensure that all paperwork is completed fully and correctly.

•To monitor the quality of products and to report any issues to QC / QA.

•To assist in disciplinary procedures as required

•To assist in the investigation of complaints

•To provide a hands on approach to staff training

•To take part in the set-up of new working systems and the continuing improvement of existing systems.

•To monitor machinery and environment on a daily basis

•To take part in audits as required

•To liaise with production planner to ensure work is prioritized and completed on time

•To report any potential or current problems to the Assistant Production Manager/Production Manager

•To attend courses and attain suitable qualifications to improve knowledge and skills to enhance performance as the business deems necessary.
