The Production Supervisor - Feed Mill oversees daily feed manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards, production targets, and regulatory requirements. This role leads production teams, coordinates equipment and maintenance activities, and drives continuous improvement across feed mill operations.Your ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
  • Supervise end-to-end feed manufacturing, including raw material receiving, grinding, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling, crumbling, and bagging.
  • Ensure production meets volume, quality, formulation, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate production changeovers.
  • Minimize downtime, waste, rework, and material losses.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and supervise production operators and support personnel.
  • Plan shift manpower, conduct shift handovers, and ensure effective task allocation.
  • Train employees on SOPs, equipment operation, feed safety, and housekeeping.
  • Promote accountability, discipline, and compliance with company policies.
Quality & Feed Safety
  • Ensure compliance with feed formulations, quality specifications, and batching accuracy.
  • Implement GMP, HACCP, ISO, and feed safety standards.
  • Prevent cross-contamination and investigate quality issues with corrective actions.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance on inspections, sampling, testing, and documentation.
Safety, Health & Environment
  • Enforce workplace safety procedures, PPE usage, and safe handling of materials.
  • Conduct safety inspections, hazard identification, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, environmental, and fire safety requirements.
Inventory & Maintenance
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Purchasing to ensure raw material availability.
  • Monitor inventory usage, material handling, FIFO practices, and product segregation.
  • Work closely with Maintenance on preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Report equipment issues and support troubleshooting to maximize equipment reliability.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, yield, pellet quality, energy efficiency, and operational costs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen activities.
  • Track key production KPIs including output, downtime, yield, and reject rates.
  • Prepare production reports, maintain accurate documentation, support audits, and communicate operational issues and improvement opportunities.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Engineering, Feed Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in feed mill or animal feed manufacturing operations.
  • Previous supervisory or shift leadership experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of feed manufacturing processes, feed formulations, and pelleting operations.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO, and feed safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
