Key Accountabilities Lead and manage Procurement Execution and Inbound Logistics operations to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, support production requirements, optimize operational costs, mitigate supply risks, and maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. 1. Team & Process Management Lead, manage and develop the Procurement Execution and Logistics teams to achieve operational, service, cost and compliance objectives. Establish clear organizational structure, roles, responsibilities and performance expectations to ensure effective resource utilization and operational efficiency. Coach, mentor and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement. Develop training plans, talent development initiatives and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational capability and business continuity. Design, standardize, implement and continuously improve Procurement Execution and Logistics processes, procedures and control mechanisms to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality. Establish end-to-end operational governance covering purchase order execution, supplier follow-up, shipment monitoring, import documentation, customs clearance, transportation and material receiving. Develop and maintain SOPs, reporting standards and exception management processes to ensure operational transparency, consistency and timely issue resolution. Drive process improvement, digitalization and automation initiatives to improve productivity, data visibility and operational control. 2. Procurement Execution & Logistics Operations Management Own and oversee the end-to-end execution of raw material supply operations, from purchase order release through final receipt of materials, ensuring continuity of supply and alignment with production requirements. Establish monitoring and control mechanisms to provide full visibility of open orders, shipment status, import documentation, delivery schedules and supply risks. Lead and coordinate Procurement Execution and Logistics teams in managing order fulfillment, transportation, customs clearance, inbound deliveries and operational issue resolution. Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks related to supplier deliveries, transportation, customs clearance, import documentation, regulatory requirements and supplier capability, minimizing business and production disruptions. Ensure effective coordination among suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, manufacturing sites and other internal stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted material flow. Manage the performance of logistics service providers, including service levels, cost effectiveness, operational reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee validation, control and optimization of logistics-related expenses, including freight, customs clearance, inland transportation and other service costs, ensuring compliance with approved budgets and company policies. Provide operational insights and supplier performance analysis to the Purchasing team to support supplier management, performance reviews and sourcing decisions. 3. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Establish, monitor and manage operational KPIs for Procurement Execution and Logistics activities. Track and analyze key performance metrics including OTIF, supplier delivery reliability, open order status, logistics cost, freight cost per unit, customs clearance lead time, service provider performance and other relevant indicators. Utilize operational data and performance trends to identify bottlenecks, root causes and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance service levels, operational efficiency, cost performance and supply reliability. Prepare regular performance reports, business reviews and improvement recommendations for senior management. Support the Purchasing Director in driving operational excellence and enhancing inbound supply chain effectiveness. 4. Risk & Compliance Management Establish and maintain effective control frameworks to identify, assess and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, logistics operations, transportation and trade compliance. Ensure Procurement Execution and Logistics activities comply with company policies, internal controls, import-export regulations, customs requirements, trade compliance standards and applicable laws. Lead the management of operational exceptions, escalations and corrective action plans to minimize business impact. Support and participate in internal audits, compliance reviews and regulatory inspections; ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain contingency and business continuity plans to address supplier disruptions, logistics interruptions and other supply chain risks. 5. General Responsibilities Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards and local regulatory requirements. Participate in business transformation, operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Purchasing Director. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, Procurement, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of procurement operations, import/export processes, customs regulations, transportation management and supply chain operations. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI or equivalent reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and people leadership skills. Strong project management and continuous improvement mindset. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Procurement Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Import/Export, or related functions. Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience, including leading Procurement Execution, Customer Service, Logistics or Supply Chain Operations teams Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional coordination among Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, Regulatory and Finance teams. Experience managing logistics service providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation vendors, including performance evaluation and cost management. Proven track record in process improvement, operational excellence, cost optimization and KPI management. Experience supporting audits, internal controls, trade compliance and regulatory requirements. Experience in Animal Nutrition, FMCG, Food Ingredients, Nutrition, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing industries is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related discipline.
