Role Purpose

Role Purpose

Following recent leadership changes and the integration of the business units, this newly created role provides dedicated senior ownership for critical global categories.

The Global Category Manager is accountable for the global category strategy, sourcing execution, and supplier management for:

A defined Portfolio of Additives for own production and commercial use.

The role combines strategic category leadership, global procurement responsibility, and limited people management, ensuring focus, continuity, and value creation across high-impact categories.

Key Responsibilities

Global Category Leadership

Act as the dedicated global category owner for the assigned categories, safeguarding business priorities within the integrated organization.
Define and execute global category strategies aligned with business growth, innovation, quality, and sustainability objectives.
Translate BU and regional requirements into clear sourcing strategies and procurement roadmaps.

Global Strategy & Procurement Ownership

Full end-to-end global responsibility for the Additives category, including strategy, sourcing, supplier portfolio management, and contract negotiations, with execution at regional and factory level through close cooperation with R&D and Formulation.
Develop and drive a long-term global strategy, covering:
- supplier segmentation and partnerships,
- innovation access and differentiation,
- supply security and risk mitigation,
- global versus regional sourcing models.
Serve as the senior procurement interface for strategic suppliers worldwide.

Required Experience & Profile

Senior procurement or category management experience in Animal Nutrition, Feed/Food Ingredients, Additives.
Proven experience managing global categories and strategic suppliers.
Comfortably combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution.
Experience with limited people management in a matrix organization.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical knowledge or background in feed/food additives, formulation, ingredient functionality, or related application areas is strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree and minimum10 years of work experience

Required Experience & Profile

• Senior direct procurement or category management experience in Pet Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Feed/Food Ingredients, Additives of at least 10 years

• Proven experience managing global categories and strategic suppliers.

• Comfortable combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

• Experience with limited people management in a matrix organization.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor degree
