  • JOB PURPOSE
  • This position is part of Logistics team who handles within China to manage general trade compliance mission in China sites, follow ADM standard and execute export and import operations activities.
  • DUTIES
    • General Trade Compliance :
    • Serve as the main contact for global trade compliance within China and support global trade compliance mission.
    • Advise senior management on the impact of changes to trade compliance laws and regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products to and from domestic and international facilities.
    • Conduct internal trade compliance training for employees and drive process improvement.
    • Audit import/export processes as required, report results, and implement corrective actions.
    • Research and resolve trade compliance issues with third parties, including customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
    • Develop proactive strategic solution to support business operations.
    • Act as regional lead liaison with foreign agencies, providing requested information or responses.
    • Determine proper HS code classification, MSDS, CO, L/C, HC etc.
    • Export:
    • Perform export hold release related activities.
    • Perform jurisdiction and classification determinations and update site classification matrices.
    • Manage the China related system for export holds.
    • Complete license/permit application development for China exports.
    • Run a regular export compliance training for China sales, service and other employees.
    • Execute local operations within framework of Global Trade Compliance goals and objectives
    • Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance on compliance with foreign export licenses
    • Import:
    • Strengthen import compliance program for China facilities.
    • Determine proper valuation for goods imported into the China facilities
    • Assure imports into China under free trade agreements/other duty reduction programs comply with local laws.
    • Others:
    • Manage performance of corporate customs brokers
    • Conduct internal audits of compliance processes and procedures and drive improvements
    • Conduct import brokerage "other regulatory agencies" reviews and compliance audits
    • Other tasks assigned by line manager.
    • REQUIREMENT
    • Physical: healthy enough to work with standard of Health and Medical ministry.
    • Knowledge
    • Qualifications: University degree in a related field required.
    • Computing: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point), experience in ERP system.
    • Extensive knowledge of China import and export laws and regulations.
    • Experience : 5+ years working in an import/export environment , 2+ years working in team leader/supervisor position.
    • Fluent Chinese and English required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to actively listen.
    • Ability to learn and understand organization and how it functions in order to apply that understanding to projects and assignments.
    • Self-starter and excellent teammate.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Availability to speak with colleagues in international time zones is required.
    • Proven track record of ethical conduct and integrity
