Customer Service Representative - Des Moines, IA

This is a full time, non-exempt position

MAIN FUNCTION: This individual will report to the Office Supervisor and is part of the commercial merchandising team at the location. The CSR will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of the Clerical function, Grain Settlements, and Farmer Origination tasks. Clerical duties and tasks are standardized, resolve mainly routine questions and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels of responsibility. The CSR will also perform routine clerical functions, including filing, answering phones, distributing materials, record retention.

  • Process Soybean Truck Freight Payments
  • Generate New Vendor Accounts
  • Verify Lien Holders
  • Process Soybean Settlements
  • General Clerical Functions
  • Document scanning and/or filing
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma or GED equivalent along with basic proficiency in Word-Excel-Outlook.
  • The candidate will have a confident and courteous manner.
  • The candidate must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend, and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by telephone.
  • The candidate must be able to use a calculator and have basic mathematics skills.
  • Position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time, phone use, and standing, bending, kneeling and operating a keyboard.
