Vylor is recruiting 2 positions of Production Technician to re-enforce the team of the pre-basic seeds production of Sunflower program in Sevilla-Spain.

You will participate in all core activities of the sunflower pre-basic seed production programs at our site in Andalusia. Your role encompasses the complete production lifecycle, including soil preparation, sowing, crop development, rouging, data collection, cage assembly/disassembly, bee management, irrigation control, harvesting, and seed conditioning. In this role, you will work closely with the local team as well as counterparts across other global locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare field operations: Collaborate closely with the team to manage all pre-sowing preparations.
• Execute crop lifecycle activities: Perform all field operations from soil tillage to harvest, including sowing, irrigation management, weeding, herbicide applications, cage net installation and removal, crop monitoring, rouging, pollination, harvesting, and seed conditioning (threshing and cleaning), strictly adhering to internal rules, procedures, and policies.
• Supervise seasonal staff: Work closely with the temporary team to monitor, guide, and support their daily activities.
• Manage data collection: Gather and record accurate data throughout the different stages of crop development.
• Maintain quality control: Oversee post-harvest processes to guarantee the maximum quality and purity of the produced seeds.
• Ensure safety compliance: Guarantee that all field and conditioning operations strictly comply with Corteva's Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) regulations.

Qualifications - Skills

• Experience:
  • Crop technical monitoring is a must
  • Management of agricultural machinery is a plus
  • Experience in seeds production, with knowledge on protected/cages production system is a plus
  • Knowledge in parent seeds production is a plus

• Education:
  • Master's degree in agronomy, plants science or equivalent

• Skills:
  • Experience driving tractors and forklifts is a plus
  • Microsoft Office and ERP
