We are hiring a People Partner/HR Consultant for Egypt, East, South and Central Africa:
As an HR/People Consultant you will be responsible for providing direct consultative and strategic partnering efforts to the Country Leaders and Leadership teams to maximize performance of the organization across Egypt, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya.
This position reports to the People Partner Leader - Africa Middle East Commercial Unit and South Africa.
Your Challenge:
- Role model effective leadership behaviors and company's values.

- Drive efforts toward desired corporate culture and facilitates management's ability to lead through change.
- Provide direct consultative and strategic partnering efforts to Country Leaders and Leadership teams to maximize performance of the organization.
- Manage Employee Relations.
- Facilitate line management's ability to lead change processes.
- Work closely with Regional HR Partners, Center of Expertise and Service Center teams and coordinates HR policies and processes.
- Work on specific projects with other functional leaders.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of local legislation and provide suitable interpretation to staff within the organization.
- Provide direct consultative and strategic partnering efforts to Country Leader and functional leaders to maximize performance of the organization.
- Support the Talent Acquisition processes including on-boarding and new employee orientation.
- Accountable for execution of Hire to Retire workflow and activities.
- Accountable for understanding and appropriate implementation of local compensation and benefits practices.
- Accountable for payroll and time & attendance processes and other retained HR processes dependent on HR service delivery model.
Location: Cairo Egypt. This regional role requires high level of travel throughout East, South, and Central Africa to support business and people initiatives across multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia, and Kenya.
Key Stakeholders and Interactions
- Country Leader, Heads of Functions and Countries Leadership Teams.
- Works closely with People Partner Leader - Africa Middle East Commercial Unit and South Africa, taking guidance for effective business impact and aligning on priorities.
- Collaborates with regional HR COE resources in execution of objectives.
- Participates in Africa Middle East People Team meetings.
Qualifications:
- University degree with at least 5-8 Years of experience in Human Resources, preferable in a multinational environment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Communication and influencing skills with an ability to deal comfortably with people at all levels and situations across borders.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to motivate others and cooperate in virtual teams.
- Ability to translate HR needs and opportunities to improve bottom-line performance for the organization.
- Influence management / working well across functions, business units in a complex matrix organization.
- Broad experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and creating organizational capabilities.
- Demonstrated results orientation.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork, collaboration and cross-cultural skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and strong compliance leadership along with understanding of statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fundamental understanding of HRIS technology applications such as Eightfold, SAP, Workday, etc.
