Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role supports production activities and responds to both planned maintenance and emergency breakdown situations while meeting all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on production, processing, and utility equipment.
- Maintain motors, drives, MCCs, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Support operation of grain handling, drying, conditioning, shelling, packaging, and utility systems.
- Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Execute electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Participate in commissioning, testing, and startup of new equipment and projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company EHS, electrical safety, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or vocational education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or related field.
- Valid electrician certification according to local regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems up to 1000V.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in seed production, agriculture, food processing, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
