The Commercial Effectiveness Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving training and capability-building programs for the commercial organization. This role partners closely with sales, marketing, and business leaders to identify capability gaps, design learning solutions, and deliver impactful training that enhances commercial performance and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Training & Development

  • Conduct training needs assessments and identify capability gaps within the commercial organization.
  • Design and implement learning strategies that support business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Develop training curricula, learning materials, presentations, workshops, facilitator guides, and supporting resources.
  • Deliver training programs for commercial teams.
  • Facilitate onboarding and continuous development programs for sales employees.

Field Coaching & Sales Effectiveness

  • Spend significant time in the field accompanying commercial representatives during customer visits and business activities.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to strengthen commercial capabilities.
  • Reinforce sales methodologies, customer engagement practices, and business processes.
  • Partner with Commercial Leaders to improve sales effectiveness and execution consistency.
  • Promote a train-the-trainer approach to support scalable capability development.

Learning Program Management

  • Develop annual training plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate training schedules, resources, and external learning providers.
  • Monitor training participation and completion rates.
  • Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and business impact metrics.
  • Track learning and development budgets and conduct cost-benefit analyses.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Agriculture, Marketing, Economy or related fields.
  • Proven certification in Business Training courses.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in: Commercial Training, Learning & Development, Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement, Capability Development or Business Training fields.
  • Experience within an international organization is required.
  • Experience in FMCG, B2B sales organizations, or agriculture-related industries.
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience is preferred, although this role has no direct reports.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering business training programs.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agricultural industry experience.
  • Knowledge of agronomy, crop protection, seed, or related agricultural sectors.
  • Train-the-Trainer certification.
  • Coaching certification.
  • Learning & Development professional certifications.
  • Sales or Commercial Excellence certifications.
  • Change Management
  • Training Needs Assessment and Capability Development
  • Project Management

Language Requirements

  • Bilingual or native-level Ukrainian and Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken).

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 50% domestic travel within Ukraine.
  • Frequent travel alongside commercial field teams and participation in customer-facing activities.
  • Valid Category B driver''s license required.
