Salesperson

 

Local family owned company is looking for an in house sales representative for equipment and tractor sales. Must be self-motivated that can work independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional customer service skills are required. Process and follow up on customer sales, provide direct sales and quotes, maintain general product knowledge. Travel for product training is expected. Landscape, lawn and garden and farm equipment knowledge desired with New Holland, John Deere, Mahindra and Kubota products a plus. Basic computer skills required.

High School Diploma and a valid driver s license are required. Benefits include base salary plus commission, health and vision insurance, profit sharing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Generate and qualify leads via phone, email and onsite visits.
  • Promote products/services to new and existing customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of new and existing customers.
  • Close sales by means of excellent customer service and salesmanship.
  • Maintain positive business and customer relationships to prolong customer lifetime value.
  • Prioritize and/or escalate client questions and concerns to increase client satisfaction.
  • Source and develop client referrals. Continuously improve through feedback.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Aptitude for negotiation and persuasion. Highly motivated, determined, and target driven.
  • Proven track record in the sales environment.
  • Proficient in time management.
  • Experience in the consumer product sales and Agriculture.
  • Must be available to travel for training 2-3 times per year.
  • Must have a clean driving record
