What your day looks like:

Nutrify is the purchasing department of The Wenger Group and specializes in feed ingredient re-sale and distribution for the feed industry. Nutrify is looking to hire an experienced Warehouse Assistant to provide operational support for various business functions as the company continues to grow.

The Warehouse Assistant will support the warehousing operation including receiving, processing, recording and distributing ingredients. This individual will also prepare and maintain detailed records and files. This person will also be active in delivering orders to customers.

  • Ensure adherence to Wenger policies, methods, and disciplines
  • Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of ingredients
  • Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution as necessary
  • Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met
  • Ensure facility and product security
  • Minimize shrink and loss.
  • Arrange ingredients within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as antibiotics.
  • Transact Transfer Orders and Receipts in the ERP system.
  • Ensure receipts match purchases and required receiving paperwork is received and processed.
  • Follow appropriate documentation processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure items received are in good condition and have sufficient shelf-life.
  • Rotate and cycle inventory in accordance with a FIFO inventory system to ensure ingredient expiration date system does not allow ingredients expire and become unusable. Coordinate within milling system to ensure a successful delivery of near expiring ingredients for usage.
  • Pull bags and stack skids
  • Deliver ingredients to mill locations or customers when needed and assigned
  • Perform monthly/quarterly inventory counts
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs in a timely manner.

 

Who you are:

  • Ability to work independently, think proactively, and work on a team
  • Ability to operate a forklift; prior certification preferred
  • Ability to operate straight trucks; prior licensing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and similar reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50-55 lbs. consistently and up to 80 lbs. on occasion

General Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Valid PA driver's license
  • Valid medical card or CDL Class A, or the ability to obtain them within 2 months of employment
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excell
  • Experience or familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, warehouse operations, and agriculture
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible to changing priorities
  • Highly effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • High sense of accountability and follow-through
  • Must be able to work as a team towards a common goal
