Terminal Crew Lead

Responsible for safe, secure, and environmentally sound day-to-day direction to facilitate continuous operations at the site. Includes all components of leading a crew including directing hourly employees, coordinating operations and/or maintenance activities relating to product quality, safety, environmental, security, rail, truck, vessel, and product storage handling. Assist with employee training and qualifications. The position is a liaison between management, shift operations and maintenance. Responsible for conducting audits and inspections. Reviews and authorizes safety and safe work permits work permits. Must have significant understanding of Mosaic's Life Saving Rules and common safe work practices and the ability to ensure facilitation of continued safe work per job or day-to-day activities. Genuine comprehension of Safety Approval Matrix, emergency call-down, environmental reporting and procedures required. This position will share onsite responsibilities between the Big Bend location and Tampa Marine Terminal.

Where will you work: Onsite at BOTH of the following locations- Mosaic Big Bend (12839 Wyandotte Rd, Gibsonton, Florida 33534), AND the Mosaic Tampa Marine Terminal (2520 Guy N Verger Blvd,

Tampa, Florida 33605).

Schedule: DuPont Schedule 4 days on, 7 off, 4 nights on, 3 off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 nights on, 3 off. 12-hour shifts (6am/pm to 6am/pm).

What you'll do:
  • Maintain safe and environmentally sound operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between work crews, management, vessels, agents, government agencies and surveyors to ensure proper and efficient loadouts, facility operation, product quality, allocation of resources, safety and environmental.
  • Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards. Manage performance issues when necessary. Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent. Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
  • Work with operations and maintenance to troubleshoot and address operational problems to improve efficiency of operations and safety. Assist in the implementation of process improvements or capital projects.
  • Cover onsite responsibilities between the Big Bend location and the Tampa Marine Terminal location as needed.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.


What you'll need:
  • A minimum of 6+ months as an Operating Mechanic highly preferred.
  • Industrial/Operations/Maintenance/Leadership experience.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Physical work environment is indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
