About the Role

The Production Supervisor Trainer supports operational and leadership development for Production Supervisors across the Iowa/Illinois region. Through farm visits, structured coaching, and practical training, this role strengthens consistent execution of employee safety, animal care, biosecurity, facility management, and HANOR Production Practices (HPP).

Reports To: Operations Manager, Grow-Finish

Position Highlights

• Full-time, exempt position in the Grow-Finish department
• Supports Production Supervisors across the Iowa/Illinois region
• Conducts 30–35 hours of weekly farm visits for hands-on training

Key Responsibilities

• Train and coach Production Supervisors through farm visits, electronic reports, and constructive feedback.
• Reinforce animal welfare, safety, biosecurity, and HANOR Production Practices (HPP).
• Develop supervisor skills in feed management, herd health, marketing, inventory, and recordkeeping.
• Train supervisors in scheduling, communication, electronic reporting, and coaching farm teams.
• Support audit readiness, process verification, corrective-action follow-up, and consistent execution of standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• At least one year of successful Production Supervisor experience preferred; training or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong swine production knowledge and demonstrated ability to coach supervisors and caretakers.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and electronic reporting skills; Spanish preferred.
• PQA certifications and HANOR Animal Well-Being (AWB) training required.
