Position Overview

The Sustainability/ES&G Specialist is responsible for supporting projects processes and programs for the Corporate Sustainability and Community Relations department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a basic understanding of reporting frameworks and standards GRI SASB CDP ISSB as it relates to the company
  • Assist in the gathering of Scope 1 2 and 3 data
  • Assist in the completion of rating agency questionnaires
  • Partner with business units to complete internal and external ESG communications and to complete supply chain questionnaires
  • Utilize the ESG software to compile data
  • Assist in the development and publication of the annual Corporate Responsibility Review
  • Review current and upcoming laws and regulations foreign and domestic
  • Assist with coordinating company service events at Andersons operating locations in conjunction with location managers in support of ESG goals
  • Provide processing support for community giving requests and related administrative tasks to comply with company and foundation procedures and due diligence requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorâs Degree required or the equivalent in work experience preferably in Sustainability Environmental or Safety
  • 1-3 yearsâ relevant experience required
  • Basic understanding of Sustainability/ESG regulations and Scope 1 2 & 3 GHG emissions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Required to represent the company at various community events as requested that may involve evenings and weekends
