To support that challenge, the Seeds Production and Operations team is currently seeking a Production Technician in Phillips, NE.
You will help shape the future of agriculture by:
Producing a reliable supply of high quality seed by executing production plant tasks assigned by Plant Management. Organize, perform and lead in assigned departments to ensure all required processes, procedures and production requirements are met. Manage field operations, seed receiving, and conditioning equipment operations to insure that all seed is properly handled and conditioned so the highest quality seed will be packaged to meet sale demands.
Work in conditioning, treating, packaging, or other areas to meet facility needs All seed picked and transported to specified area is identified accurately and checked against production order Ensure all changeovers are done correctly to eliminate any product mixture Follow and execute preventive maintenance programs for the plant equipment Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and routinely inspected Assist with product quality assessments and adherence to product specifications Perform other duties as required to meet plant or site needs
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience required Must have an active and valid driver’s license in good standing Forklift Certified, or the ability to obtain. On-site training and certification. Working knowledge of inventory management principals Ability and willingness to work OT as needed. This could include weekends, holidays and shift work. Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in the United States without work authorization sponsorship
An Agricultural or Warehousing background is also preferred but not required Ability to receive a chemical applicators license is preferred but not required WMS and SAP system experience preferred. Ability to be CDL certified preferred
