To support that challenge, the Crop Protection, Production & Supply Team is currently seeking a Formulation Operator in Omaha, NE. As an Operator you will be a key member of this team. This position will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are being met while driving the flow of production. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow and further develop his/her career.
Operate various types of formulating equipment
Perform routine and non-routine operations safely and efficiently
Participates in unit policies and procedures audits
Participates in near miss/incident reporting and 5WHY/incident investigations
Lean idea generation and Ruby observations are completed to promote continuous improvement in the IFSC units
Follows and completes operator standard work for the IFSC formulations
Complete changeover operator standard work to ensure changeover takt times are consistent and efficient
Routinely audits/provides recommendations for updates to operator standard work for IFSC formulations/changeover process
Maintain production line to reach production schedule goals
Effectively use safety equipment such as respirators and protective clothing.
Follow operator standard work to keep processes on takt time Provide feedback and corrective actions when processes during the shift do not meet takt time Work with precise limits and standards of accuracy Operate forklift and perform some manual labor Generate and maintain accurate records Maintain and improve safety, environmental and housekeeping standards Work within site policies & procedures
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associates and/or Bachelors Degree with a Concentration in Agriculture preferred but not required
5-7 years of prior chemical handling, formulation and/or quality control experience preferred but not required
Ability to operate a Forklift required. Training will be provided if needed
Safety Training and/or Certifications are highly preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills highly preferred
Valid Drivers License
Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
