of our planet. To support that challenge, the Data Visualization team is
currently seeking a Data Quality and Governance Lead. You will help shape the future of
agriculture by acting as an integral part of the Advanced Analytics and Data
Science team within Global Seeds Research and Development. As the Data Quality
and Governance Lead, you will:


  • Be
    responsible for establishing and managing the information lifecycle process
  • Act
    as a critical driver in supporting Seeds Research and Development to become
    more data-driven in decision making
  • Utilize
    analytics to develop meaningful insights for the Syngenta organization
Accountabilities
  • Establish and define the vision,
    goals, and objective for information lifecycle management and ensure stakeholder
    alignment on priorities, implementation, and governance
  • Work closely with business leadership
    to ensure continual alignment around the development, maintenance, access,
    use, security, retention, and retirement of information (data assets)
  • Define and implement a
    collaborative approach for proactive monitoring, detecting, assessing and
    cleansing data quality issues to ensure fit for use and sustained quality
  • Establish and administer the data
    governance implementation roadmap to cover end-user support for the
    application platforms for data governance, data quality monitoring, and
    information management (insights)
  • Serve as a point of escalation for
    governance, data quality and protection issues and work closely with
    management to improve the quality and value of core data assets
  • Establish and lead the data steward
    operating model and execution playbook
  • Serve as the product owner for data
    discovery and data cataloguing tools and workflows - championing best
    practices, data definitions, and issue resolution across multiple teams
    and systems
  • Define Data Quality Operating Model
    for Research and Development, Seeds
  • Establish an approach to define,
    remediate, and maintain data quality over time applying this at strategic
    and tactical levels to support improvement and continuous management of
    data quality
  • Proactively champion the value of
    information (data) as a strategic business asset by providing the business
    and analytics teams with recommendations on usage and operational
    efficiencies
  • Support our efforts to unify and
    deploy our Data & Insights-driven cultural change messages via content
    and learning
  • Facilitate and provide leadership
    health reporting on Information Quality
  • Provide data availability and usage
    dashboards
  • Report to the Head of Data and
    Visualization


  • Skills:

  • 10+ years of strategic consultative experience with 5+ years
    in the data space
  • 7+ years of expert knowledge of data governance and
    quality best practices
  • 5+ years of experience with agile development
    methodology
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management
    concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and
    performance measurement system design
  • Advanced technical
    acumen; ability to translate Enterprise Governance Standards and Policies
    into actionable guidelines for IT partners

  • Current on emerging trends, industry best practices,
    and concerns
  • Experience working with Big Data and IoT
  • Experience
    with Human Centered Design and Journey Mapping
